"Really convenient location! My first time in Andermatt and travelling by myself... i arrived by train and the Hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the station. The atmosphere and ambience was welcoming and they have a nice bar and restaurant area, and outisde seating too. Really relaxing from the get go! Staff were super helpful, my bed was nice and comfy, and although I was in a room that shared a bathroom, I had sole use of it for the 4 nights i stayed there! The restaurant food was tasy, well...

Units face out to yards where you can see into other properties (like an apartment complex) so the walk-out deck area was not private and had no view. "We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. "
