"The location is excellent that is the best thing about the hotel. Stayed in the bungalows which was a hit and miss on the quality and cleanliness (stay away from 129 / 130). The bungalows need refurbishing, in fact a coat of paint will do wonders to the look and feel. Easy access to beach with local restaurants on both sides. The breakfast is very basic, and quality varied on a daily basis. Staff could be a little more friendly in the restaurant area which could get them lots more sales of...

"Our experience was outstanding at Banyan Resort. The team is extremely friendly and eager to help. There are tons of places to eat and free bikes are available to get around. Our room was clean, private and comfortable. Just what we needed for our kind of trip which is generally away from the room and out in the wild. :)"

"Off the main street which makes the place very quiet. 5 min walk from the pier and to the beach. Lots of cafes and convenience stores round. The property looks much better in the photos - nowadays it's rather outdated with very shabby walls, a loud air-conditioner and a bit hard mattress. Though, the room itself is spacious. There are towels, bath products and a kettle with some coffee being provided. Overall good value for money. "

"This was a really nice place to stay. The pool was lovely, the sun loungers were comfortable and the sea was heaven. We stayed for 2 nights. Ate a couple of times in the restaurant (which was very nice) and hired out kayaks from them for only 300 baht an hour. Only flaw was the cost of laundry. The staff were so helpful and the stay was excellent."

"Great service from the owner who did all he could to make our stay comfortable. T he room was great for a couple but not a family. The roll out bed was a mattress on the floor beside the bed. Shower wasn’t great (too close to the toilet) but worked well. "

Great little resort

"I have stayed at the resort the year before and enjoyed the hotel. We like the cottages because they are close to the beach. The music can be load especially when the fire show is on. We can usually sleep thru anything but it could be an issue for people looking for a quiet room. The music shuts off at 11 to 11:30 at night. The food was ok not spectacular. There are alot of good restaurants along the beach. The beach is a very nice white sand and the swimming was great. The entertainment was good. North american music mostly and they did have a great saxophone player that played throughout the day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close walk to the small town where other services and bike rentals are. If you want a quieter afternoon you can rent a bike and tour other beaches on the island They have been doing modernization and upkeep on the hotel. We would stay again "
