"Adorable Inn, great location between Glacier Bay and Reykjavik near the Black Sand Beach. We stayed two nights. I rode the one hour ride to Irafoss while my husband hiked the gorgeous countryside. Very mountainous and multiple trail options. I wish I had chosen the longer ride as the ponies famous gait, the Tölt, is as smooth as silk and their horses were fabulous. Skálakot Manor is in a cute little valley with sheep, a couple houses and a church. Friendly place with lovely amenities. Great spa...

"Hótel ranga seems to be incredible for the northern lights but we stayed 2 nights and didn’t see them at all due to cloud cover. I think if you don’t see the northern lights then the hotel is ok but if the clouds are there, it loses all its USPs as we didn’t even get to go to the observatory. "I have stayed in 20+ hotels in Iceland. This guesthouse is a shining beacon above every place I have stayed in Iceland, Scotland, England and Germany. I liked this guesthouse so much, that I changed my business plans so I could stay an extra night. I couldn’t bring myself to stay in another generic hotel further North in the city. "This was an amazing hotel. It is perfect for persons going on excursion/trip. The rooms are simple but the beds are comfortable. They have a hot tub outside, which was more than welcome. The staff is very nice and accomodating."

"This hotel is really far from normal tourists spots but we wanted to hike a mountain near by so I selected this location. I really enjoyed our time here and the view was pristine and untouched land. The rooms have big windows so you have a great view. "

"We stayed on our last night in Iceland. The rooms are albeit old fashioned, for a 1 night stay, it's decent. There's a restaurant and the breakfast was nice. This is very close to all the great falls around that area and you can see northern lights right above the hotel. We saw northern lights in Vik and here on the second day. It was beautiful and they also have places you can scan and go to watch the Aurora. 2 hours from the international airport. "
