"It was our first visit to Beitou and chose to stay here since we heard good reviews for their Yilan branch. The place was more modest than expected but service was top notch. The room is comfy for three of us and very clean and view was great. Location is also very central. The car drop off location is a bit tricky as it’s easy to miss. "

"For the price, Mellow Fields was an excellent choice to get around the Shilin District conveniently. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. However, the place may need to work on its cleanliness: There were moldy spots in the bathroom and dusty corners in our room. Several bathroom tiles were chipped and the caulking was wearing off. "The breakfast buffet that was part of the booking (room rate) made our stay an excellent one. The food was not that grand but enough to fill our tummies and jump start our day. We maximized it to our heart's content. Location wise, a bit far but the bus station just behind the hotel makes our mtr to shipai station as swift as possible and our return as well. Enough space for a family of 4. And best part was the laundry room. We recommend this hotel for your future taiwan travels. "

"Clean, modern, and roomy King Suite. The staff could be friendier. I did not like the lighting system controls as there is no way to turn the bathroom light on without turning every room on. The dimming option actually turns on some rooms in rotation instead of dim the light of the bedroom. The lighting at the mirror is too weak. I could not use it to apply the makeup easily. The bedding was high quality. The bathrobe was very rough. "
