"The hotel is just out of the hussle and bustle of Kandy city - about a 15min Tuktuk ride. Perfect to see all the sights in and around Kandy and then come back and relax in peace and quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the owner arranged trips and drivers in and around the Kandy area. The food is was amazing particularly Hassida's vegetable curry! "

"We loved our stay at Kandy Shady Trees thanks to the very welcoming and accommodating nature of our hosts. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable and breakfast was fresh and substantial. The location is up a steep hill (we took a tuk tuk up and down it) but could be walked. Views from the property were great and it was in close proximity to central Kandy and many worth visiting sites. Our host also accommodated us by driving us to local sites for a very reasonable fee. "This is a whole house! 3 bedrooms, 2 twin size beds and 2 queen size beds, and 2 bathrooms. There is even a full kitchen with cooking utensils. The views are amazing!"

"The suite was fantastic will an incredible view. Comfortable bed, mattress not too soft. Excellent complimentary tea selection! Room service was delicious as was breakfast. The lady on the front desk was very sweet & helpful."

"A pretty good location. The highlight was having a meal a couple of doors up. Real SL restaurant. No cutlery, go up and wash your hands. Dosa 150 Biriyani 400. Amazing experience."

"We only had one night in Kandy on this trip. The Radh is positioned within a couple of minutes walk of the sacred tooth temple and so was ideal. The staff were all very.pleasent and helpful, right from check-in until we checked out. The rooms and facilities were great. Shame we didnt have longer to enjoy this wonderful hotel. "

Wish we had stayed longer…….

"My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We can’t recommend this home too much. It certainly felt like we were at home. The room was so clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom spotless. Our room was well appointed, entered via its own garden. We had special views across the whole valley. We hooked up to the Wi-Fi and looked for things to do but our host knew all the good things to do, he even organized a TukTuk tour with a local guide. Our tour was fantastic and such a great price. We took breakfast had delicious home cooked roti with coconut salad and chutney along with eggs and fruit. On the first night we ventured into the city for dinner and on the second night we stayed local. Both restaurants were good. The local shops were terrific, selling local fresh food. We moved on to South but wished we had stayed longer."

Serene spot in Kandy

"The hotel was clean and well furnished. We had a balcony room which had fabulous view of the river, a great place for watching nature around you. It was very peaceful. The pool area is good with separate pool for toddlers. This also overlooks the river. The staff were excellent. All polite and helpful which you find a lot in Sri Lanka. The restaurant was buffet style and food good quality. We had an excellent 2 nights in Kandy. Hotel situated short distance from Town centre, uphill. Just a short ride in tuk tuk."
