It was a very big resort with many pools and restaurants. They tried to charge me for transportation even though I never agreed to use the resort's transportation. It made for a hassle at the very end of our trip.

Property is more like what a 5 star mexico hotel should be. Lot of other hotels claim to be 5 start but are not to this level. Now the Property is older and in need of renovations. Not just paint and chairs. Mechanically needs to start updating. They did have some renovations going so hopefully they already see this.

The Hard Rock Riviera Maya is a large property that caters to both families and couples. Our room was well appointed and clean. The food at the Heaven restaurants was excellent, while the food at the other restaurants was a mix of good and bad. The entertainment was a mix bag as well, as some shows were excellent, such as the Queen Tribute, while the indigenous show didn't appeal to anyone. Overall, the staff did an excellent job, but the property just didn't appeal to us.

Loved the hotel. So many things to do with kids. The beach is THE BEST! The food was good, many options. The water park had a lot of closed slides which was a bummer! Enjoyed the kids area with rock climbing, obstacle course, bowling and trampolines.

We spent 4 days with my wife and two kids, the hotel has all the possible activities for the family: beach, pool, water slides and have a great indoor facility with bowling, trampolines and others. My kids loved it. Food was great, they have many options and great quality. We didn’t drink that much but they offer great variety of liquor. I’ll definitely come back again, first time on this hotel chain. Rooms are outdated but it looks like they are going to start some renovations. I had the VIP access but nobody told me so not sure what we’ve missed

Stayed here 8 years ago, loved it. EXTREMELY disappointed this time. Place is completely run down, mold in the air vents in restaurants. WORST part is the restaurant reservation “system”. Stayed in MANY all inclusive in Mayan Riviera and this is a joke. Going to send a formal letter to the CEO of Hard Rock, not that it’ll help but he should know. Apparently one in Cancun is quite nice.
