"It seems to have retained some of the peace and tranquility of its previous incarnation as a monastery. I would have spent more time just enjoying the hotel as a retreat had it not been for unfortunate, but obviously necessary, construction and garden mowing in the courtyard. "

"Fabulous stay at Belmond Monasterio! Check in was easy and the staff were personable and professional. We felt welcomed and valued as a client. Our room was upgraded to a suite with a semi-private courtyard. Fabulous room. Great amenities in room. Music in the bar in the evening with a wood fire burning. Dinner in hotel was good. Breakfast had good variety and quality. Staff is wonderful. They go out of their way to be helpful. Tea station available all day. Oxygen in room helped with altitude....

"The view from the hotel is awesome. However, you have to climb up from the center for quite some time to get to the hotel. It is rather annoying after dinner. There was a strong cat’s smell in the hall of the hotel but the room was clean."

"The staff were incredibly friendly and really went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored building with a quaint courtyard. The location couldn’t be better, as it is situated on a stunning square, which is a very short walk to the bustling main square in Cusco. The rooms were a nice mix of contemporary and traditional. Would definitely recommend."

Great stay and would come back.

"Absolutely recommend. We arrived very early (6am) on the day of check-in with the expectation of storing our bags until later in the day, but they let us into the room immediately and even let us enjoy a breakfast. Great location close to the Plaza De Armas and tonnes of restaurants, bars and stores. Our room was clean, very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast both mornings was great and the staff were lovely. Would absolutely stay here again. "

A great, central place to stay

"Very central position so you can walk everywhere. Great view from breakfast balcony. Nice staff. Stayed twice and brilliant second room. First was a bit small and low ceiling. Offer of free collection from the airport did not materialise but adequate compensation😊"
