"Hotel itself was great. Room was clean. Location cant be beat. Staff were very friendly. The only reason i rated it less than perfect had NOTHING to do with the hotel. Cannot stress enough—-the hotel was terrific! Heads up to travelers. The town of Portosin is nearly dead in the off season. The town (and many others in the area such as Porto Do Son) need to figure year-round activities to encourage ongoing tourism. "Fantastic hotel! The operator George is amazing. He speaks great English and was incredibly accommodating. We arrived very early and he was able to get our room ready as quickly as possible. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right in the centre and on the Camino trail. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caldas de Reis. "

"You will ask someone to pinch you really hard, just to make sure you have not reach heaven with angels harping and sunlight shining. This is a most wonderful inn. So beautifully decorated with great flare and an ambiance to die for. Simply WOW."

"This circa 1700’s village was both interesting and beautiful. The staff was very caring and communicative. Parking was great once you can find it. The walls are a bit thin so noise travels but guests were respectful and that was the only downside. The bed was xcelle t and a FAN was provided in room. Nearby restaurants were excellent and the towns on the coast were really fun to visit. Truly a highlight of our trip. "

"Hotel itself was very nice. Staff were excellent. Meals and drinks were great. Room was small but clean. Air conditioning unit to cool the room was mediocre. Would liked to have been closer to a downtown nightlife. Overall the place was very good and if we came back to Palmeira or had our friends/family stay there we would recommend the hotel. "

"Comfortable, clean, convenient. The only problem I had is that there were a lot of fruit flies in my room when I first arrived. I found the source, an area on the door jamb near the bathroom. I wet some bathroom tissue and wiped it down and they were no longer a problem. An unusual situation so I cannot hold it against the property. No coffee available in the room or at the kitchen. But this seems to be typical in Spanish hotels. "

"A good option if you want to spend time in Cambados- very central and within 2 minutes walk of the old town and very nice restaurants. Great to have a pool as well (albeit it doesn’t open until 11am). This is not, however, as nice as other paradors we have stayed at- the bathroom was tired, the room smaller than others and the aircon was poor. Some of the staff were also not very helpful. That all said, it’s still a great base to explore the region- just not a destination in itself."
