Light and bright on the whole staff nice. Not overly keen on the decor if I'm honest. There needs to a policy for noise.People chattering in the corridors and outside my bedroom window in the early hours. Staff and guests need to recognise some people are trying to sleep if they are in late or departing early

Nice hotel with friendly staff

This suited me for a work event at Haydock Park, a 2/3 minute drive away. From the outside the hotel looks welcoming, as were the staff at reception. However, it is well overdue a refurb, the rooms were especially cold, with the heater set at its highest still inadequate. It did snow lightly during the evening but I would expect a warmer room. The evening bar meal (chicken burger), wasn’t great. It was ordered at 8pm, having just arrived at the hotel after a long drive. It was quite burnt and mostly left. The restaurant area also felt tired, carpets, decor, etc. and the breakfast was only passable. Ideal location for the racecourse, but little else would entice me back.

Staff are reallly helpful

Emma the manager was fantastic. Very capable and friendly and was running around doing multiple jobs when needed.
