"The specific 1br apartment configuration I had felt like it could have used some more hooks and places to hang things. Otherwise the bathroom was spacious (showed leaked at door seam though) and the bed was comfortable. Facing interior area made it a bit more quiet. "We enjoyed our stay, especially our son who slept in the living room with its own door and TV. The bedroom also had a door and TV, and the bathroom worked well for us with plenty of hot water. Although the room furnishings are old and carpets stained, we were fine with the slippers the hotel provided. The kitchenette included a 2 burner stove, counter height fridge, convection microwave oven and dishwasher. There were plenty of dishes and a good pan, pot and water kettle but limited cooking...

"The deluxe room is smaller than expected due to the layout of the room, but washer/dryer combo is included and located inside the bathroom (pay 1 euro for detergent). There is housekeeping. The sofa looks dirty and very stained to a point where I do not want to sit on it even with outside clothes, but the bed sheet for the sofa bed looks clean. The kitchenette is fully equipped if you want to make small meals. The water heater tank is small. If you are a party of more than 2 people, you can't...

"We liked our apartment which is on the top floor with partial view of the waterfront and cruise ships. The apartment was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. It is conveniently located with lots of good restaurants and small shops nearby. It is walkable to few attractions including Commercial square (downtown), the famous 28E tram stop, Saint George castle, and a few beautiful outlooks. We enjoyed our stay here!"

"The location and size of this place is outstanding. The unit was huge and the bathroom was the biggest we have seen in Portugal. Everything was walkable and the area was quite safe and easy to navigate. That said, communication with the host was lacking. Once we figured things out we were good to go though. Side note, you are right on top of the tram, so you can hear it running all day / evening. It really didn’t bother us and we actually thought it was funny. I’m not sure we would stay here...

"From entering the building on our first day to exiting the building in our departure, an absolutely first class experience. Couldn’t have wished for better staff, so friendly, so helpful, everyone couldn’t do enough for us, and not forgetting their wonderful birthday surprise of a bottle of wine and chocolate cake for my husband! So helpful with suggestions of where to visit, including detailed directions on how to get to the places on our wish list. Our cosy room and its facilities kept spotlessly clean, throughout our stay, we didn’t want for anything. Greatly appreciated the staff taking the time to email us a wonderful welcome and arranging a warm and friendly pick up and drop off from and back to the airport. As they say, you do business with people, we couldn’t have asked for better people. A GINORMOUS thank you for making our stay extra special! Helen & Rich xx"

"Our hotel stay was amazing here. We checked in around Christmas and they gave us an upgraded family room. The room had a bottle of wine. The staff was very accommodating to all requests. They even gave christmas gift to my son so he doesn’t feel that he is away from home. Breakfast was also very good. Love the heritage prperty."

"Absolutely love this hotel! It's in a more private area in the very busy area. Alfama has rich culture and beautiful sceneries! A lot of amazing cafe and restaurants. You have to experience the FADO restaurants. Just be aware bring cash. We have great time in this hotel. The lobby staffs were super friendly and helpful! Especially thanks to Fabio and Fatima (apologies if I spell the name wrong). I got a lot of great advices from them. Great complimentary drinks! Love the cappuccino and hot chocolate! The breakfast was good! Love relaxing in the courtyard. They make check in and out very smoothly. Can't thank you all enough! Definitely recommend this hotel! ❤️❤️❤️"

"Fabulous location absolutely in the middle of ‘everything’! The room was a bit ‘tight’ in size for us, but the amenities and facilities were great, and, most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. We were welcomed by a complimentary bottle of wine, a very delicious gift box of chocolates, some additional ‘pillow’ chocolates, and, something I’ve never experienced before, a no charge invitation to use everything that was in the well-stocked refrigerator!"
