"Lovely modern hotel. We had a superior room and it was faultless! The location is tricky - just outside the Sotogrande gated community with a busy main road to walk down to get to pathways - it is however possible! Taxis are ready and waiting at the hotel but you pay 30euros return for a trip to the port. Hotel is definitely worth a stay and especially if you hire a car! "

"Stunning setting, beautifully designed hotel, great food, fantastic service, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Especially loved the spa and the bungalow style rooms. Recommend even if you have no interest in golf, there is lots more to do. We went for a relaxing spa break. We will definitely come back. "

"Good value for money no frills seafront hotel close to nice restaurants. Cheaper to book on Hotels.com but the hotel was for some while unable to locate the online booking. Fortunately we had a confirmation both from Hotels.com and an automated confirmation from the hotel. Worth getting a sea view room."

"We enjoyed our stay at Ona Valle Romano. There are a number of self catering apartments with reception and 2 restaurants. We were very happy with our apartment which had a good balcony overlooking the golf course. We did not have any meals but breakfast and evening meals are provided. The WiFi worked well, although there was only one channel on the TV in English. Good hot water. There is free parking outside the accommodation, only problem is later in the evening it is difficult to find a spot."

"This is a no frills hostel in a very central location on the Plaza de las Flores. There are no reception staff on site but communication by WhatsApp was good. I was given the option of rooms and took the option of a ‘noisier room’ which was immediately available. This room overlooked the adjacent restaurants and was quite noisy up til closing time. "This stay was our favourite in over a month of travelling Spain and Portugal. It is so unique! The castle is stunning and the vistas are incredible. The rooms are large and quiet and the restaurant was so delicious and extremely fairly priced. We had 3 starters, 2 mains a bottle of wine and two glasses of sherry for under 75€. Cannot recommend the is stay enough!"
