I really enjoyed my stay. The location is amazing, right on the beach and just down the street from 5th Ave. The staff were all great and the hotel is really nice with views of the ocean.

This hotel was beautiful and affordable! It was only a few minutes walk from food and shopping. The only cons were that the listing said it had a gym, it does not…and technically it has beachfront access, but it’s not really a beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!

Central location although nearby area noisy late at night, however hotel itself was quiet. Car parking problematic, concierge very helpful in this matter. limited beach area due corrosion. good hotel staff & communication. Room cleaning was exceptional. Would use again based on value.

Amazing place to stay in Playa del Carmen. Worth the price to stay somewhere walkable, safe, on the beach, and quiet. I also loved the design of this hotel. The pool in the middle was lovely and it was wonderful to have a patio overlooking the pool and ocean. Felt like you were right in the middle of everything, but still had a secluded place to retreat to at the end of the day. Friendly staff, air conditioning worked great. I would definitely stay here again.

When we first arrived, we were a little disappointed by the eroded beach. But after a few days, we realized that the magic of Playa Palms completely absorbed us. This place is awesome, and affordable. It’s located, literally in the heart of everything in Playa, but somehow miraculously quiet. The rooms are cute, and very clean. Breakfast on your private balcony is a real treat. The restaurant next-door, ASI, is the best food we had in Playa and they also deliver directly to the hotel, including cocktails to the beach. The cute neighborhood vibe in the hotel itself was also great, and there was never a problem, getting beach chairs. This was like a home for us while we were in Playa. We were there with a group of friends, each coming and going on different days And it worked wonderfully. On days when we knew we wanted to relax on the beach all day we walked over to fusion a couple blocks away and rented two chairs plus umbrella for 15 bucks for the day. I would highly recommend playa palms for a low-key affordable and really pleasant vacation. We will definitely be back. Oh, and the staff were so kind and so helpful! I can’t say enough how great they were there.

Beautiful property bordering the shore. Loungers on the sand looking out at the fishing boats (not amenable to swimming, but great swimming beach two blocks away). Restaurant next door has great food; get the ceviche. Carlos the concierge took care of all our transportation and activity needs. Our family had a great experience here.

This was our second time to Playa Palms Beach Hotel. We love that it is just minutes from 5th Ave with lots if restaurants near by. The beach was badly damaged by the Hurricane this summer. There is still sand and chairs on the beach but you have to walk to swim. Its about a 5 minute walk to the other beaches. Our only complaint is the wifi is hit or miss. At times it is great, others not very good and on the rainy day we had none at all most of the day.
