"Third time we've stayed here, the resort is exceptionally clean everywhere. Staff always helpful and friendly. Had an issue with the drainage and the shower flooding the bathroom, one phone call had maintenance, fresh towels and housekeeping in within 10 minutes to sort. On site restaurant and bar not as good as previous stays as it has become well used by ex pats and local residents which unfortunately means service not up to par if you can actually get a table on event nights. "

"Superb escape for some Easter sun. The only negative is they need to enforce the 1 hour sunbed reservation rule. Too many people take advantage and turn it into a towels-on-sunbed race in the morning, which really spoils the whole experience."

"This is a traditional house, very nicely renovated. The best thing is the delightful terrace with a lovely view. This is where you have a very nice, very well presented breakfast. We were rather disappointed with our room. Although spacious it was far from luxurious and we had problems with the plumbing twice in 9 nights. Yaiza is a very quiet little town and for a better choice of restaurants it is easy to drive to El Golfo or Playa Quemada, both by the sea."

"Stayed in a sea view suite with my two sons, we can’t speak too highly of the hotel. Wonderful service, beautiful location, haven of peace and tranquillity in a busy resort. Room and roof top pool, in particular, were amazing. "

"My husband and I wanted four nights away in the sunshine and warmth to sit and look at the sea and feel indulged and that is exactly what the hotel La Isla y El Mar gave us. Wonderful friendly and happy staff from reception to the restaurant to the bar. We even got a new cocktail on the house from David in the Kentia bar! We had a wonderful massage and couples experience in the spa. If you want to get away for a short break to the warmth and not do very much this is the perfect spot."

"Best customer service ever. We were greeted at the front desk with a bottle of Cava. We got there a little early and they were very attentive and accommodating. The hotel is very clean. 3 pools. 5 minute walk to the beach and main Street with hundreds of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is perfect. It was very quiet too. The breakfast was excellent. This hotel check all the boxes. Outstanding. "

"We had a rented car but you can come to stay here by bus. It provides free transport to Lanzarote airport. The breakfast was excellent with chosable eggs, and excellent cold meat selections. One of the best possible o/night or longer stays near the airport."

"A lovely hotel with great facilities and bedrooms, the only thing letting it down was the restaurant. Only stayed one night but the quantity, quality and variety of the food was poor. Difficulty in finding plates and extra cutlery and food was not topped up in a timely manner. Pity as in all other aspects the hotel was great. Poorest food we’ve ever had in H10 hotels or indeed in any other 4* hotels."

"A lovely quiet hotel a few minutes drive from the centre of Tinajo where are there are a couple of restaurants and supermarkets. If you want a lively nightlife then this probably isn't for you, but if you want a relaxing break where all of the tourist spots are within a 30 minute drive then this place is great. Breakfast was tasty and filling, and the owner was a great help with information about what there was to see and do on the Island. If I were to come back to Lanzarote I would...

Good value for money, basic, clean, comfortable

"Hotel was good value for money - but no way is it a 4 star hotel - 3 maybe. Room was good - despite being close to the main restaurant/entertainment venue it had good sound proofing and was not disturbed. Wifi was OK - aircon was ok - but did not extend to bedroom - room safe worked - bathroom clean and OK Breakfast was pretty poor. Given that the hotel was half the price of others in the area then it was good value for money - as a place to sleep but nothing more"
