"The Hotel is a great choice for staying in Pingyao, although not too close to the Old City, it has top services and an excellent restaurant. Staff are friendly and service oriented. "We got here via overnight sleeper train from Xi'an. This hotel has an outdoor courtyard typical of the ancient homes, with charming decor. The hotel restaurant was good, as were some others nearby. It is located on a main shopping street, not far from the South and Central towers/gates. We couldn't stop buying souvenirs!
