"Firstly, friendly and helpful staff who is good in English. The room is clean and comfy. Environment is great as it is walking distance to shopping centers, cafes and more importantly, local street food! Message place is also near by. But have to Googled just in case. I don't really need to travel far to experience Penang. "

"Charming boutique hotel with lush greenery offering plenty of little cozy areas to relax. A little oasis in the middle of the historic town. Staff members on site, Nick, Janet, Kee and Shipun were wonderful. Breakfast was included but options were limited but the hotel is minutes away from awesome local delights. Be sure to sample the infamous Penang Char Kway Teow (flavourful fried flat noodles) and the delicious white coffee (and more)! Great location! "

"This boutique hotel is such a gem! They look after every detail to make your stay memorable. The furniture, wall art, the food…transfers you to the old Georgetown. We stayed in room G and the decor was amazing yet conformable. The stuff was kind and very accommodating. Very highly recommended! "

Many rooms are windowless (not unusual for Malaysia) and the place is basically a reasonably well kept low-rise guesthouse, part of the multi-year gentrifaction of central George Town.
