"This is a wonderful property - very spacious, clean and well equipped. The property is in a great location with views from the large balcony along The Strand, of Castle Hill and Magnetic Island. It is a few minutes walk to the Marina from which we did a sunset yacht cruise. It is also a 10 minute walk to eateries along The Strand. "Communication and location both great, as were the Sails facilities. Our only concern was the size and layout of some aspects of the two bedroom villa / eg the powder room. Very small. "The Mercure Townsville is a lovely family-friendly hotel. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was extremely comfortable and great for our short stay. The room was quiet and provided all amenities; tea, coffee and toiletries. The room was clean and beds comfotable. My daughter and I enjoyed dinner at the Celsius restaurant. Food was fresh and quick to order. Staff were friendly providing great customer service. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a wide variety of cold and hot dishes to choose from. Parking was ample and safe. A close drive into Townsville to see the sights, only about 5-10 minutes. I recommend The Mercure Townsville as a great family friendly hotel."
