"PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. "Beautiful heritage hotel in the center of Stone Town, close to many attractions. Room was super large and carefully decorated with local artifacts and furniture. I loved the breakfast on the rooftop with a 365 degree view of the city! I spent a night there before heading north to the beach and my room had lots of character with beautiful sculpted wood furnishings. The bathroom was not renovated, unlike the room itself. "Spectacular views, excellent service with lovely people, top notch menu and cooking, peaceful, serene and luxurious. Was a glorious stay for our honeymoon. Can’t recommend it enough.
