"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth! "Danielle was very pleasant and welcoming. Room was very comfortable, clean, included hot water maker for instant coffee. Breakfast was wonderful treat with breads, jams, ham and cheese platter, yogurt fruit cups and coffee, tea and juices to enjoy. Parking was an added bonus. Very walkable to Mont St Michel or the shuttle stop. Plenty of dining options within walking distance also. "

"The smallest 5-star hotel in Europe! My friend and I checked in during the off-season for one night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The owner gave us personalized attention and was very helpful. The location is convenient to Mont Saint Michel: just a five-minute drive to the parking lot to catch the shuttle bus. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to treat yourself."

"This hotel does what is says on the tin. No bar or restaurant but a nice area to take your own food or drink and socialise. An extremely friendly, helpful and efficient reception lady who appeared to bend over backwards to ensure everyone was happy & everything was absolutely spotlessly clean "
