"We were the only guests at the chateau. The property is beautiful and the owner very hospitable and welcoming. There are 4 peacocks that roam the chateau grounds which are beautiful. In the morning the owner presented us with a gorgeous breakfast in his chateau dining room which was very elegant. All considered, we would love to stay at Chateau de Chantore again. 5 stars."

"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. "Check-in was very accommodating as we arrived early. They allowed is to drop off our luggage a d then gave us a room key in case we were late getting back to the hotel after touring. The room was nice. Weird “showering” in a bathtub. There was an elevator there unlike one I’ve seen or used before (see photo.)
