"We first stayed at Bongani Mountain Lodge 15 years ago and returned when we saw it on special over new year. Not much has changed in 15 years. We had a nice time - the food was good and our ranger and tracker were pleasant and informative. I would not rate this lodge as luxury. The room, with a queen size bed, had seen better days and with the thatch roof and poor choice of tiles it always seemed a bit grubby. The game viewing is not great. "We stopped at this hotel to access the airport in the morning. The property was clean and the rooms had a modern feel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d booked a evening table in the restaurant but we’re not given any menus or ideas on pricing until after. It was buffet style and was one of the most expensive meals in relation to other places we have stopped. Not worth it but we didn’t have to drive out in the evening.
