"We stayed for a weekend at The Ro hotel and had a lovely time. The staff are all friendly and work so hard. The hotel it's self is slightly dated in some areas but that adds to it's charm. We also used the wellness centre and would definitely recommend it. It's really clean and modern with lots to offer. The hotel is is really central to windermere, we were able to walk everywhere easily. We'd definitely stay here again."

"My husband and I recently stayed at the Ambleside Salutation Hotel in the Lake District, and I genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough. Nestled right in the heart of Ambleside, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Our room overlooked a gorgeous waterfall, and waking up to the soothing sound of flowing water and a view of the hills was pure magic. It felt like a peaceful, luxurious escape wrapped in nature. The Room: Wow – our room was massive! Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and designed for real comfort. It had everything we needed and more. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the little touches made a big difference. Honestly one of the best hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. "The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. "
