"The Decanter Hotel is in an excellent location for sight seeing in Old San Juan. The area seems safe and fairly quiet. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. We could hear other guests a bit since the rooms were so close together. The staff were friendly. THere is a rooftop bar but it is only open Thurs-Sunday so we didn't use it. There was a little patio attached to our room but it was too warm to sit outside. We had a nice breakfast in the square 1 block from the hotel. "

"Amazing historical location. The service of the room staff and the person helping with our laugage was amazing. The pool area was clean and peaceful. The terrace place offered an excellent midday break. I would probably eat outside the hotel because the restaurant service was a bit slow for my taste, but all in all it was an excellent stay and i would definitely come back again. "

The room was very pretty, beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious with a really nice shower. The only thing disappointing was that neither the bar on the first floor nor the bar on the terrace or functional. Certainly not a deal-breaker. "

"This property was a great find. An excellent area to visit the city, with great views and comfortable living areas. If we had to be super picky, the shower curtain could be lower to avoid flooding the floor, a few more chairs on the deck would be nice, and I'd put sliders on the dining chairs so they workshop be as noisy. I would recommend this stay highly. "
