"Great clean hotel with a steak house onsite. Stayed here on Valentine's day weekend. Staff was very accommodating and answered all my questions. I enjoyed having the option to get dressed for dinner and being able to walk downstairs to enjoy dinner reservations at Johnny's Steakhouse without having to hassle with the snow and freezing temperatures outside. I would stay here again when Im in town. "

"I would have gave 5 stars. However ,At checkin after going to my room. I came back & asked why my room didn’t sleep 5 as I booked thru Expedia. His fix was for me to wait and talk to a manager on Monday evening. That wasn’t fixing my problem since my stay was fri-Mon. Then the next morning I spoke with the evening girl at the check in desk. She said, I will talk to the 7 am girl & see what we can do. She gave us a roll away bed. It was tight but worked out. My fault for booking without...

"Curt at the front desk was very kind & helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing that it offered Gluten Free options like bagels, breads, vegan sausages! They had tags to communicate which rooms had pets! The water & fruit in the foyer was a nice touch!"

They shuttled me and the student I was chaperoning where we needed to go until someone turned in my keys.They felt like a family away from family. "It is a nice historic building. It has been renovated very nicely. There isn't a staff person sitting at a front desk. My key was in a large envelope with my name printed very large, and left on the front counter, next to another guests, with their name printed very large on the envelope. So much for privacy... Located on a corner in the town square, on a main street. Was quiet thru the night, after 11pm on a Monday night."

"Hotel has a beautiful carved maple lobby, beautiful view of the illinois river & friendlt and accomodating staff. Rooms are nice. Some of the hallways etc could use some updating. Nice and quiet with excellent complimentary coffee in the mornings. Irish pub within walking distance as well as excellent pizza at Hoops Pizza and beer. Also located next to I 74 with wasy access"
