"No air-conditioning and hot weather made the heat in the apartment unbearable. It fluctuated between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius according to the thermostat (even with two fans running), but it felt hotter. The room was dusty and could have been cleaner. The spiral staircase to the loft was extremely steep and flimsy. One of the steps was broken and a heavier person could easily fall through. I pointed this out but it was never fixed during our stay. "Short but very comfortable stay . Would have loved to have walked from the grounds into neighboring countryside and hired bikes for the cycle paths- but weather put that idea out the window. Food and options for food were excellent and vast. Staff were very professional and charming . Hope to visit again soon."

"Absolutely loved staying at the Vander Valk Lent again. Breakfast excellent,staff lovely our only issue was the room was chilly and found the dining room and bar had the temperature set low. So had to wear cardigans and jumpers. Not a comfortable temperature "
