"Its proximity to the ropeway was the biggest catch. They have a true onsen but sadly people are naked and don’t wear clothing and modesty is not followed . The staff are great and speak good English. The breakfast is generous but doesn’t quite fit the foreign pallet . Recommendation is that enjoy the delicious bakery items in the ropeway eateries ."

"Booked to stay here for an authentic Ryokan Onsen experience on our Japan holiday. "The guesthouse was absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning part of Japan. We rented a car in Matsumoto and used the guesthouse as a base for visiting Kamikochi. The hotel is bright and cheery. The rooms are a generous size. The futons comfortable. Perhaps the best thing of all was the private onsen. The dining options around are a little limited- very few are open at night. There are more soba lunch options but we were out walking. We went to both Abbey Road and Springbank which were fine. "
