We did not have the best experience at this hotel. Whilst it is well located by the water with lovely views and the owners gave us a friendly welcome, as time went on we found that things were not up to the usual standards we would expect in a hotel or B&B. There was no kettle or facilities for drink making in our room and also no fridge. It was possible to buy drinks from the bar when it was open, but sometimes they closed quite early. You could also take drinks from the bar to your room.
The electrical sockets by the bed appeared to be potentially dangerous, with plugs fitting badly & sparked when you tried to plug anything in. The heating worked and the TV had UK/US channels. The hairdryer was fine (bathroom socket was safe).
There was plenty of hot water and the shower was fine. However, on the day before we left, the towels were changed and we were left with only two hand towels and no bath towels. We asked the owner if we could have more towels to shower before we left, however they were not helpful and did not make any effort to get us more towels, did not offer an apology and did not appear to see any problem.
The bed was only made on the first day of our stay and the small litter bin was not emptied at all during our stay. Cleaning in general appeared to be minimal during our stay. The soap in the bathroom was removed on the 2nd day, not replaced and later found in the bin. Breakfast choice was limited- bread, cold meat, jam, boiled egg, yogurt, juice & coffee/tea.
