"Loved everything about this property. The location is ideal as you are situated in the heart of the downtown core and the frontage of the hotel is directly on the beach. Could always find a chair on the beach front or around one of the pools, and dining overlooking the beach, even though we were visting during the peak season. Never felt overly crowded in the pools or restaurants. Food in restaurants was very good. They have a very good breakfast with plenty of delicious tropical fruit. For coffee lovers, their dark roast coffee is excellent. Staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and quiet and balcony was very private. Mattress was very firm, but allowed for good sleep. Hotel is a little older, but very well maintained. Would highly recommend this resort and would rebook in a heartbeat. "

"We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Wyndham Tamarindo. The staff were friendly and beyond helpful! The rooms were clean and the view was stunning. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, we enjoyed the pool, and the hourly shuttle made getting to and from downtown so quick and easy!! Highly recommend staying here! We would come back in a heartbeat!"

"The staff is amazing. Everyone was so friendly and eager to assist with anytbing we needed. We did not have any trouble gettimg seated at any of the restaurants and we tried out everyone of them. All were great. The different night events were very fun and the beach was so nice, never crowded and we were always able to get lounge chairs for our whole group. We will definitely be returning to the RIU Guanacosta"

"Our stay at the JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort was nothing short of perfect! The property was beautiful & well maintained, the staff was friendly, the food was delicious, & the excursions were well organized & fun. Our room was cleaned & restocked to perfection each day & we were so happy we’d thought to reserve a room with an ocean-facing balcony. Each night, the sunset was an event not to be missed! In addition, the serpentine, infinity pool was large enough to provide guests with varying levels of enjoyment. A water volleyball game at one end of the pool went unnoticed by guests looking for quiet relaxation in another area. Over the course of our week-long stay, we got to experience the warmth & friendly service of the resort staff. We looked forward to being greeted each day by hostess, Karen, who greeted us by name & easily recalled our dining preferences. In addition, Josue and Gustavo, stand out for their exceptional service & sincere interest in our comfort & enjoyment of the property’s many amenities. As vegetarians/pescatarians & coffee lovers who do most of our own cooking, we were concerned that the resort would not meet our dining preferences. The opposite was true: the breakfast buffet at the resort restaurant, Pimento, had something for everyone. Local fruit, along with the biggest buffet we’ve ever seen, including egg & quesadilla bars, provided a substantial start to each day’s activities. "Highly recommend this place especially for anyone who is celiac and especially for kids who are celiac. Staff were super friendly & helpful, excellent food, lots of activities on the go, fun water slides only a 5 min walk from the resort. My daughter is 9 and is celiac. When checking in I told them about her "gluten allergy", they immediately gave us a paper where any allergies are documented and our room number and told us to take it to any restaurant we ate at. She's super picky with food, we can't say enough good things about David & Monica, they're staff managers & dressed in black. They asked her what she wanted and would go and talk to the chef or the chef would come out. She had chicken nuggets, fries, pancakes, hashbrowns, sushi (loves avocado/cucumber rolls), bacon, chips & guac...lots of fruit, veggies, salads & various deserts. They could have made her more food like chicken, fish dishes etc. but she's picky. When I asked them if they had muffins, they brought out sealed little lemon muffins (so yummy!) & little sealed packages of mini gf bread. She was so happy to have food she could eat! It takes a little longer obviously so give yourself some extra time to wait for the food. They also told us if she didn't like anything at the other restaurants that she could have food from the buffet and bring it over to the other places we wanted to eat at. We did the zipline, animal sanctuary & snorkeling tour (Planet Dolphin tours) We love this resort & will be back!"
