Worst hotel stay ever!!!
Upon check-in, I was notified that the tv wasn't working. After a lengthy discussion with the clerk and asking if there was something that could be done to rectify the situation, I was met with a disrespectful and non-empathetic NO! Once in the room, I quickly noticed how dirty the carpet and areas around the room appeared. The garbage from the previous occupant was not emptied. Before retiring to the bed, I used the bathroom and flushed the toilet. When I awoke, I noticed that the toilet was clogged. I called to notify the front desk and was told housekeeping would be there shortly. No one arrived. When checking out, I explained my stay to the clerk at the front desk and was abruptly interrupted and told that if I have a concern, it should be addressed by the booking agent online.

This hotel didn't even have a visible identification sign on the outside! It is in terrible condition. No blankets on the bed or clothes hangers in the closet.

This place is a shelter and smells ridiculously bad and reeks of cigarette smoke. When we complained to front desk, switched our room but he called upstairs ahead to spray the room. When we complained, he said only Expedia can refund me money, only for Expedia to tell me that it was he who refused. DO NOT GO TO THE HILLSIDE HOTEL.

The room was dirty, the kind of dirty that is because you haven't cleaned consistently. The heavy plastic curtains had layers of grim on either end where people moved them to look out the window. The bathroom floor and surfaces were not cleaned recently. The faucet in the sink was completely detached, I had to get clean sheets and pillowcases from the front desk.
