Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This hotel is nowhere near an 8.2. The Hyatt Regency is 8.4 and this is nowhere near that quality. The hotel is built from modular single wides and is old and tired.
The reviews must be seeded from hotel management. The first clue is that it is not a 8.2 is that you have to pay each day to use the internet.
The rooms are 12 ft x 12 ft with no windows. The doors have glass slats in them but the built in blinds would not open so the room was dark.
There are no chairs so when you are in the room you have to lay on the bed. The floor is soft and spongy. It has vinyl planks but some of them were cracked.
The bathroom floor had sections missing. There was no water pressure and the shower dripped out even though the shower head looked very nice. The toilet was cheap and had water running down the sides as it was not insulated.
Someone put effort into painting and decorating the room but the mold along the doors and shower door took away from this effort
We had supper in the restaurant and it was very good
The location is heavy industrial but we felt safe there
The road to the hotel is confusing as at one point you seem to come to a dead end but you continue through a lane over the railroad track. If you then see a mound of garbage on the side of the road you are on the right route.
25 minutes to the airport
15 minutes to the French Quarter
Hotel shuttle to the French Quarter is $20 return per person and it runs from 10 until 4. I suggest that you take an Uber for $22 each
