Hotel and grounds have definitely not been updated in a very long time. The pics are probably from when the hotel opened and are not accurate at this time. Found someone’s night cap behind the bedside table and small ants in the room.
Staff was very nice and had an enjoyable time in the bar area. Excellent seafood quesadillas!
Property is tired. Occasionally rooms were serviced. No hot water first day etc. Staff were friendly but other than that this place should not be in business. I rate them a 1 out of 10 and the reason they get one is for pleasant staff
The bartender/ dining hostess wasn’t so pleasant. Did not tell us to go to our table or even acknowledge us. Took 10 minutes for her to walk to our table. The other staff were professional & very respectful & pleasant. Easy upgrade! Beautiful rooms & hotel. Food was AMAZING, pricey but well worth it! Will definetly book again.

This a rustic hotel, you feel that you are in the Bahamas, staff were great, yeah ok it needs a bit of tlc, but that's part of it's charm, good location, some good restaurants nearby, we had a great time here, everything happens a bit slower here, but hey! this is the Caribbean, also a must for Bob Marley fan's, we would definitely stay here again.
Our hotel room was not cleaned daily. The tv didn’t work. We could only get one room key which was inconvenient for the three people in the room. The loveseat in the room was very uncomfortable so they were nowhere to sit and read. The bed was so high that you had to use a stool to get into it. The grounds were noisy and there was garbage around the property and lots of broken glass and bottles in the parking lot. The breakfast was basic and the service was poor. We had to repeatedly ask for more coffee which was tempted and ask for more milk too. We asked for juice but it usually did not show up. The pool was dirty and they did not have beach chairs on the beach.Would not recommend this property to anyone.
Such a unique atmosphere. Wonderful and friendly staff. Quaint, relaxing and not overcrowded. Close to airport. Their tropical lobster salad is a must try for any foodie.
We arrived there and it was very different than normal resorts. The front was littered with cigarette butts. Pools were being filled. You couldn’t swim at the beach. Drinks are outrageously priced, we did not try the food, but had overheard that the price was high as well. Internet and cable did not work. No phone to call for assistance. Needless to say we were there for one night. Would not recommend going and will not be returning.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The food was expensive and poor quality. The staff was friendly. The free breakfast was very limited to ONE cup of coffee, ONE egg, 2 bacon slices, and toast. They never asked for refill coffee or anything else.
The room was large, the bed was comfortable, many things broken, extra towels was impossible.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Went to the Marley resort on January 18th with my wife and my 11 year old son. The room I stayed was called legend and it was amazing. You have a whole apartment to yourself, living room plus bedroom and a enormous bathroom. What was most amazing was the incredible view from your huge balcony. The hotel is right on the beach literally and the beach was very private. The whole time I was the it’s was just us on the beach and nobody else. The beach was beautiful but it was really wavy at times and that could be due to the season we went. The staff at Marley resort are really laid back and easy going and their service was amazing. The food at hotel restaurant is definitely tasty but also comes with a big price tag. I ate at the resort still but also right across the street you have a pizza place, Asian restaurant and a grocery store so on some days we would just eat out which was much more affordable. If you are looking for a quite relaxing place in the Bahamas that doesn’t have that busy resort feel then this is the place for you.
Location is good. Room service do not exist unless asked. Breakfast is a joke. One egg, two stripes of bacon, one piece of bread, butter and cup of worm coffee. Everyday the same.
The best attribute of this property was the view. The view was amazing from our room/balcony. However, there were several cons that need attention. The hot tub was ice cold during our 5 day stay even though we told staff about it. When we arrived, there were no towels in our room and a half full roll of toilet tissue. The floors were dirty in our room. The carpet on the steps going up to our room was stained and filthy. We had to ask from towels and toilet tissue on several occasions. The continental breakfast was good, but you are only allowed one cup of coffee or one cup of juice. Coffee refills cost $4 each and you are not told this up front. The front office hours are not consistent so you never know when someone is available. There was a private event during our stay that we not aware of until it was happening. During the event, the paying resort guests were treated like they were not paying guests. They closed down the bar and restaurant to the resort guests, with no prior warning. I will not stay here again and would not recommend this resort to others.
