If you like deer, this is awesome. They can be a little aggressive but we didn't see anyone get knocked down or bitten.

Really enjoyed our stay it's quite a walk back and forth to the old town. But this keeps you out of the crowds which can be quite brutal in Kyoto. You're very close to the big shopping area. Room was a decent size, and a sharp contrast to Osaka and Tokyo where accommodation is really pokey at this price point. Very easy to recommend.

I did initially have problems with the amount of bedding which was eventually sorted out. The property is very clean, spacious, has everything you need and a family mart across the corner. I would stay again.

Could be a nice place apart from large numbers of Smelly deer and even larger numbers of tourists!
