"I have stayed at this property during my last two visits! It’s an excellent hotel near a very popular shopping destination, Thamel, in Kathmandu, Nepal. The price is reasonable, the rooms are small but very clean and like the ambience. They gave me an upgrade with a great view of Kathmandu. I loved the food at the Japanese restaurant and the breakfast had a lot of variety. Their customer service is the best. Big should out Sunita G and Rahul for their excellent customer service. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"I didnt get in my flight and had an unexpected night stay in Kathmandu. The hotel i had been in was fully booked. This was a really lovely hotel. The staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. The only thing even slighly lacking was the breakfast. The food was a 3.5- 4 out of 5. Overall, excellent stay."

"The property has an unique architecture, you feel transported back in time. The staff was polite and kind, sharing with interest about their culture and traditions. What a lovely experience!"

"I initially booked 2 nights but ended up staying for 8. You might find something that looks similar and is a few dollars cheaper but I didn’t even go hunting once I found that Jay Suites had an elevator, powerful AC with a simple on-off controller, a good bed, excellent shower with unlimited hot water, an in-room fridge with 2 free 1 litre bottles of water daily, and a better than average breakfast for about $5. The staff were exceptionally friendly and dealt with one minor plumbing issue quickly and efficiently. If you’re staying in Thamel, it would be tough to beat this place for the price."
