"This is a downtown Hamilton property gem in a depressed area of town. It is conveniently located across from the conference centre. The drawback is that there are many homeless people milling about the dirty and busy streets in the immediate neighbourhood. The property itself was nicely decorated for the holiday season, staff were friendly and helpful and the place was very clean. We would return and recommend."

"Very clean - very tidy - very polite/friendly staff. It exceeded expectations within this price range. For it's age, the inevitable and unavoidable signs of wear and tear were nearly impossible to spot. They've updated bits (furniture, bathroom bits like the sink) to make it look fresh. Even the shower curtain was pristine (one of the strange things I notice - hehe). Very happy - while I don't travel there often, I'd definitely stay there again - without question. "There were no wash cloth, kitchen towels, or hand towel. I guess you have to take those with you. We had to buy a bar of soap and a body scrubber. You have to get into shower before you turn the water on. The shower head is not adjustable. You can hear upstairs noise and voices. Otherwise convenient and clean. "

"Good value for money. Two bathrooms are shared with nine or 10 bedrooms/guests, so no issue with that. Room #2 is beside one of the bathrooms, so the folks having a 6:00 AM shower will wake you up."

"The staff were very friendly and the area was ideal. Set in the heart of downtown, nearly everything was within walking distance, and the train station was less than a ten minute drive away. The path along the water was a huge selling feature for us. We enjoyed a daytime walk to the park with our youngest, and an evening romantic stroll as well. Breakfast was free and included. Parking was additional at $15/day which we didn't realize, but not a huge deal. Would go back again."
