"Travelled Autumn 2020 so when Covid still a big issue. Measures I was told that they were taking included cleaning communal door handles every hour and not entering your room for cleaning whilst you stay. As a result it felt like a safe place to be (I'd opted for en-suite so no sharing facilities and communal areas such as kitchen were closed). As you would expect for a youth hostel it was basic and could do with a spot of repainting etc. But the staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean...

"we had the very very top room on 4th floor the room was cold no radiator on and we booked a double bed they put 2 single bed together and very uncomfortable in the middle between them the breakfast weren’t very warm would be microwave there to warm it more but the food in restaurant in the night was outstanding plenty on your plate and lovely and warm staff very friendly would stay there again but not the 4th floor too high "
