"The hotel is dated as are the facilities. We made the mistake of selecting a smoking room, so our room smelled like an ashtray. It was difficult to determine cleanliness, because the furniture was old and the carpets were also old and stained. Transportation is extremely limited unless you want to ride a bike or walk. "Magnificent ryokan experience! Friendly staff, clean private baths, and delicious breakfast. Be aware that no one can wear shoes in the building - they are stored in lockers near the door. It keeps the hotel and tatami mats spotlessly clean. I loved this hotel so much! "
