"This is a great guest house and who includes breakfast anymore?? My cousin and I stayed for one night and our room was very warm, cozy, and the owner made us very welcome. He went above and beyond with breakfast the next morning and cooked up custom meals for each of us! I would definitely stay here again since it is in an excellent location, within walking distance to the Largs train station, and who doesn’t love excellent hospitality and service?! Highly recommended"

"The Glenburn Hotel has outstanding views from the hotel restaurant / lobby area, so I enjoyed it as much as I could since my room looked on to the roof, blocking the view. A little misguided from the outstanding photos on Expedia. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming and I really enjoyed my walks in the lovely area of Rothesay. This coastal town allows you to feel disconnected, without having to be too far from the mainland. I would definitely suggest taking a taxi from the ferry...

"Very easy instructions to get in using the key safe box in the porch. A choice of breakfasts that is sent before you arrive you just had to let Heather have by 8.30 the night before by txting on WhatsApp very easy. Lovely clean room with shower, loo and tv. Great WiFi. Breakfast was delicious and I had different options and Heather kindly stocked up the milks tea and coffee as I was there for 5 days. "Food in the Orangery restaurant was great quality. Room was clean and comfortable but could maybe be doing with a little bit of renovation. Continental breakfast was of a good standard, cooked breakfast was varied with some items a little overcooked. Health suite facilities were of a good standard. Sauna and Steam room were of a decent size approx 8 people at a time in each. Changing rooms were a little tight if many people were in. Staff were pleasant, helpful and really great."

"We had a twin room with a view of the sea and it was clean enough. There was black mould on the window frame. However the TV had no signal and although there was a telephone there was nothing to plug it into. We complained and they moved us to a lovely family room. Homely Hotel

"We had a lovely stay at the Duck Bay Marina, this is our second time staying at this hotel. The Hotel has been renovated since the last time we stayed. Our room was very comfortable and cosy. We were able to go from our room and see the lovely view of Loch Lomond. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. All staff were welcoming and friendly. We also had a really nice meal in the restaurant. "

Quiet modern hotel with open country views.

"Lovely modern hotel. Restaurant had some little booths as well as traditional tables. We were in a booth which I like. Staff were very good, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. I loved the fish in the pool in the restaurant. some rooms have a long walk to them due to the size of the hotel. It has its own carpark."
