Someone called me from the hotel last minute to say they couldn't accommodate my reservation and they had to move me to another hotel. They did absolutely nothing to compensate for the inconvenience, and did not give me an option of what to do. I booked the Nelligan because I really wanted to stay there. I was extremely disappointed with the outcome, especially given the price I paid for my room.

The hotel is in the heart of Old Montreal. All the recommendations from the hotel staff for meals, drinks were excellent. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel was very pretty, comfortable and convenient in the heart of Old Montreal. The restaurant Mama C’s was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner there. There is also a steak house which we didn’t try but looked great. We will definitely stay here again!

The staff was top notch in every regard; was helpful and flexible in a booking issue I had. The hotel and adjacent restaurants were classy and delicious with amazing service. The rooms were handsome and rustic with a great feel. No other place I would stay when I return :)

The hotel and street are getting renovated but that did not cause any issues with our stay. The staff was excellent and helpful. The property was clean and inviting and we would stay there again.

This hotel is gorgeous and in a prime location but we were not told ahead of time of all the renovations going on in the hotel during our stay. Lots on construction and the hotel was freezing inside! Rooms are massive but definitely need an upgrade like better lighting/more storage so I do believe these renovations are much needed! Restaurants on site are beautiful with great food but service was poor. We arrived and had a cocktail on the rooftop. We were not checked on or offered another round of drinks for the 1.5 hours we were there and I had get up a few times to ask for refills/our bill. Other than that hotel is historic and beautiful, great sized rooms and prime location. Be warned they are also redoing the cobble stone in front of the hotel too so no car access to the front of the hotel.
