Our room was dimly lit. Only one light and it was not that bright. Room did not have lamps or any other source of light. Small tv with only local channels and cable TV like in an early 2000s hotel. Pool was closed. The room seemed like it was being renovated. There was a huge mirror just leaning against the toilet. And screws left on bathroom cabinet. The bathroom mirror was dangerously hanging with only 2 screws. Water pressure was really low in the shower. Small refrigerator made a loud sound all night. Fire alarms flashed us all night looked like they were low on batteries. Just old and outdated.paper thin walls, you can hear everything!!!

Smallish property. Competitive rates. Good people working hard. after a stay at another nearby location that was bait and switch...these folks and the young giy at the desk on friday about 6 was refreshing

My room smelled like urine. No toilet paper or soap in the room - had to ask the front desk. Towels were dirty, I’m glad I had my own. Smoke detector hang from the ceiling with wires exposed. If I could’ve gotten a refund I would have gone somewhere else.

We stayed 2 nights in August 2024, paid close to $650 for these nights and were shoved off to another "motel" because they were remodeling. No, they overbooked this one and didn't know where to go with us! This is highway robbery, totally! Nobody knew anything, no manager was available so we just had to take it. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB that these crooks get out of business as soon as possible. (I see they always respond with empty words, they do NOTHING to reimburse of satisfy travelers. Shame on you!)

I would say you get what you pay for this area. The room was kind of gross . However the staff was extremely friendly and helpful ! If you are light sleeper the airplanes flying over top will be waking you up throughout night

We reserved 2 rooms for our stay. One was bad, the other terrible. There was one light only, no trash can, the tv didn't work, the floor was so dirty, I had to use the bath mat to clean my feet before getting in the bed. The bed was hard and not made correctly. The bed skirt was on top of the mattress, then a bottom sheet, then a blanket, followed by the top sheet and coverlet. I had to remake the bed to sleep in it. There was very loud music playing outside on property speakers until at least midnight. I was happy I remembered to pack ear plugs "just in case". I do not expect perfection, but I do expect my room to be clean.

This was by far my worst accommodation experience of my life. Sheets and pillowcases covered in black scruff marks including a shoe print. Staff did give us fresh pillows but couldn't change the sheets. Blood on the comforter. Hair and stains on the towels. Sticky grime on the floor. Windows had no fly screen so the windows opened straight to the outside. Our friends stayed in two other rooms and had the same experience including a broken AC/heater unit and blood stains on their towels. We literally could not make this up if we tried.

Please do not book this hotel. I am not sure if the room we stayed in was fit for occupancy. The room had a terrible smell, and every piece of furniture was broken in some way. The floor had not been mopped in a very long time, it turned my white socks black within 5 minutes of walking around. The bathroom also had a foul smell of mold/mildew. The light fixture was falling out of the ceiling. On top of that, the bathroom had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. There was a busted tide pod in the sink, hair in the sink and tub, and footprints stained in dirt on the floor. Looking around the property you’ll see that a few rooms have already been condemned, but for some reason we saw people coming in and out who seemed to be living there permanently. Staff was nice though. We thought that maybe it was just our room in such a bad state, but me and my friends booked three and all of them were in similar condition.

Would NOT recommend. shouldn’t have expected much considering it was a last minute and cheap option.. Upon arriving, we saw two hotel room doors with papers on the door saying “Condemned”. That was concerning, but we still gave it a chance. Once we went into our room we were instantly disappointed. The room was very dirty.. stains on the doors, hairs stuck on the wall, floors were dirty.. Walked into the bathroom and the sink wasn’t clean, bottom of toilet had hair and dirt all over it, and the ceiling above the shower had dead flies stuck to it. When we got in bed, we noticed there was a cigarette burn in the top blanket and the bottom “thicker” blanket had black smudges all over it.. We instantly threw them off of the bed and weren’t able to use them.. I decided to check the rest of the bed and noticed they didn’t even have a mattress cover on the mattress and it was ripping at the seams. We felt so uncomfortable in bed that we laid on top of our beach towels and slept without blankets. Again, I wasn’t expecting much as it was cheap and last minute, but this was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. It was extremely uncomfortable and using anything in the room made us feel uneasy. Better off paying the extra money for a nicer hotel elsewhere.

To start, I am not a hotel snob. However, Hotels.com should not allow this place to be rented on their site as it has been condemned by the city. Furthermore, this place is currently operating a bait-and-switch scheme. Upon our arrival, we noticed the "Condemned" signs posted on the doors of the hotel rooms. We were told by the man at the front desk they'd had electrical problems. For how long, we don't know. He then offers to "help" by getting us a reservation across the street at the Rodeway Inn, a.k.a Rode Hard (and put up wet) Inn, which charges about $60 for a Saturday night according to this site. I paid $150 to reserve the Fairgrounds Inn for last Saturday night. Since we were short on time and not from the area, we were caught at a disadvantage. We accepted the new reservation. HUGE mistake. Not only did I get charged the same (higher) priced reservation for Fairgrounds Inn, Rodeway is a %@&#hole. It has broken, unsafe stairs leading to the 2nd floor. Inside our room, the flooring was so severely damaged, the vinyl planks were lifted, broken and separated by several inches with the likelihood of mold. We didn't want to look too closely. I've never seen/had to stay in a place that was in such disrepair. I will seek a refund for this stay, which I've never felt the need to do in my entire life. Seriously, consider yourselves warned.
