"I stayed there with my family (two kids). It was very clean and comfortable. There were also a lot of toys and games (Super Nintendo etc.) which was very nice and practical. There was also a park nearby and you have a little garden in front of the apartment. It's a quiet and safe space. The host was very nice. I would recommend the accommodation."

"Have stayed in a number of Mons hotels whilst i vacated my apartment in the town. This included 2 stays at the van der valk during October 2024. This time in room 103 for a week, nice big clean room, shower only. Very convenient for getting to my apartment and into the centre of town. Didn't use parking or breakfast. IKEA is 10 mins walk away and do a hot breakfast for a few euros. Also 10 mins walk to cafes etc. Van der Valk is easily best hotel in Mons, happy to recommend "

"I've stayed there before. You can't beat the price and convenience. One block off the grande place and lots of great restaurants on the street down to the grande place, underground parking, breakfast. It's perfect."

"I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B...

"Even it was a guest house with common bathrooms, it was very clean. The land lady's hospitality was excellent. "

"Staff were polite. Breakfast was ok and decent for the price (about 14 euros). I stayed in a tree house, which seemed a little neglected from a cleaning and maintenance perspective. The shower drained slowly and I asked the front desk to have someone look at it - not sure if they did. There were several smashed dead bugs that hadn't been cleaned off the walls, and the window leaked when it rained. I think it could have been a really cool place - just needs some love."

"Once you understand that this is a rustic classical hotel with an Old Farmhouse feel you can relax and enjoy the experience , a modern trendy place this is not. It does have a fridge and kettle in the room , the hot water in the bathroom takes an age to arrive but is fine once it does. As mentioned in other reviews the floorboards creak and it was nessesary to leave the wardrobe door ajar to prevent it creaking when someone passes the room . Its rustic and charming in its own way. "
