"The Pullman is one of the farthest hotels from the Port Douglas village, but it is self-contained, and the staff are incredibly helpful with any requests. We self-drove but there was also a shuttle available at most times into town. We selected the Pullman for the timeless decor. I had read a few reviews about most hotels being 'dated'. "My husband & I booked in at the last minute for 5 nights due to a change in plans as a result of the cyclone in Brisbane. Very pleasantly surprised with the studio apartment - very clean & modern & had everything we needed, including kitchenette and washer/dryer. Great value for money too. Only a 15-20min walk to the esplanade (we walk fairly quick!) & right next door to Coles supermarket (5mins walk max!). Pools were lovely albeit it the sun bed area was quite small and didn’t leave much room...

"I have been staying in a 1bedroom apartment and it's been terrific 🙂 The manager's are very friendly and helpful....The location is a stone's throw to the beach and local dining precinct as well as shops less than a 5minute drive away, or there's quite a large main shopping centre less than 10minutes drive away, called Smithfield. "We booked The Cairns Harbourside as a quick getaway from the Tablelands. We received a fantastic rate. The hotel has older rooms that will need a reno soonish, but the room itself was clean, beds very comfortable, fabulous pillows. The water pressure in the bathroom was great! after The lifts are good. We enjoyed a few drinks at happy hour in a comfortable outdoor setting. Food menu is small, but the food was nice. "We asked for a room overlooking the main lagoon pool and we received, the room was clean, spacious, and the hotel staff went over an above to make our stay perfect:) The towels were so soft and fluffy, making for a nice shower at the end of a day lazing around that awesome pool the resort has. Reception were only to willing to help, and were readily available. Thank you once again for a much needed break away. "

"We were very happy with our stay in the Mantra Esplanade. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They made our stay a happy experience. The facilities were really good. The AC was so nice because it cold us from the really hot weather. It was close to everything. Just walking distance to groceries, restaurants, the lagoon swimming pool and the pier for the boats to go to green Island and the great barrier reef. Special mention to Barbara the front desk receptionist. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you to all the staff for you Special chocolate present you made our Anniversary special. It made us feel so welcome by everyone. We highly recommend Mantra Esplanade to future guest. "

"Perfect location! Super convenient to go everywhere. The first night there was a wifi connection issue but overall everything was good. Clean room, friendly staff. It was amazing to see from the balcony so many bats flying in the sky in the evening. We will come back again! "
