"Staff was friendly and helpful. The concierge desk was there to suggest us where to go, how much to pay for taxi, etc. I felt that the hotel was backing us up all the time. It was cheaper to eat at the hotel than outside were you can get rip off by “friendly” restaurants owners."

"Overall excellent, this is a stunning hotel. Close to the tramway stop to easily go do sightseeing, walkable (if you don't mind the steep roads), room is very comfortable, and the staff very nice. Only down is the indoor pool temperature in the spa, but that's a personal preference. "

"On arrival at the Pera Palace tired & flustered from the overnight train from Sofia, I went and left my glasses in the taxi. After a friendly greeting by the reception staff, Salih immediately took ownership of the issue. He got the hotels CCTV checked and through the police tracked down the taxi driver. The driver was by then off duty so Salih arranged for another driver to collect my glasses and take them to the hotel - now that's what I call excellent customer service! The hotel itself was beautiful and all the staff so friendly and helpful. Okay, it's not cheap (although the restaurant was very reasonable), but for a special occasion it's worth treating yourself."
