"My only concern is that, obviously an employee, propped a side door open with a small rock, so you didn't need your key card to get in the side door. One evening a couple of men tried to approach us in the parking lot, so I don't think having that side door unlocked was a good idea"

"The property was overall clean. The indoor pool and hot tub had too much chlorine it hurt your eyes being in there. The tub had a crack at the bottom and wall paper was peeling off the wall. Breakfast wasn’t offered, room repairs needed, and pool, felt for the price things could have been better. Staff wasn’t friendly and during early AM hrs the sliding doors were locked, key card wouldn’t work so had to wait on staff to appear to get in to load vehicle. "

"Bed was too hard for our liking and the AC unit had a "squeeling" noise. Breakfast was basic; a usual hotel breakfast, nothing special. Room spacious, clean, and updated. Was nice to have easy access to back entry for taking our dog outside; nice that hotel pet friendly. Love the provision of soap, shampoo, bodywash, and lotion in large attached bottles..much better than the little sample size bottles. Nice location; close to restaurants and freeway. Would stay here again."

"The setting and beauty of the Grand Hotel and its facilities, all kept in pristine condition, are notable. While this is a top-drawer property, the prices (especially for food and beverages) seemed a little high. Perhaps the portion sizes of some of the large entrees could be reduced, though the high quality of the ingredients may account for some of the added expense. "

"The only issue was the air handler fan not shutting off...at all. We have stayed there numerous times, so we knew the quality would be good, but this one thing kept us from having a good night's sleep. If we had been staying for any other reason than to sleep off a Mardi Gras ball, I am sure the problem would have been addressed and fixed during the stay."
