"We liked everything about the hotel with the exception that the hotel controls the Air conditioner so they turned off when I asked why because it was really hot in the room they said around this time of year they do that and we went in November so we had to sleep with balcony door opened. Other than that it’s a nice place."

"Great hotel. Great attention to detail. Very accommodating. Not the best for kids due the limited options. But for a couple it will be excellent. I wish the Spa was included. But breakfast every morning was great. The food at the bar was okay. Limited on options in my opinion. We did have issue with some reservations but they were understanding. "

"Very good all rounder. Food was not as good for early week and better later in the week for dinner. The doors to the balcony rattle at night, keeping people awake. The staff are great though, very likeable. Good gym but a bit far from the main hotel. Overall, really enjoyed my stay with the beautiful views, old style music and overall great atmosphere. "

"The hotel had a lovely view of the volcano and the mountains, but it was quite a long walk away from high street down a steep hill. It wasn’t a problem to do the walk a couple of times, but definitely not every day. There was a little bit of a language barrier, which we didn’t expect, because we knew Tenerife is a popular holiday destination for many, but the staff were lovely, in particular one of the ladies, whose name I didn’t unfortunately get, who was very helpful and patient when I was...

"Excellent value - very clean, comfortable and friendly, with all facilities you could need. It is a walk from the main town centre, and the hill is steep, so need to be mobile, or happy to use taxis. But the walk is worth it as the location is peaceful. Reception area and stairs are all stone/marble so noise does travel - especially to ground floor rooms. And walls are thin too, so occasional interrupted sleep. Nothing too dramatic though. "This hotel is a little gem, steeped in history and very central. The internal lounge area with it's palms and exotic plants is wonderful. I would recommend this hotel so long as you are not looking for luxury. There are lovely views from many rooms and the pool is good. Shame they don't offer tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Fixtures and fittings are sadly just looking a bit tired."

"We had an amazing stay at El Tope, it was just what we wanted. Would love to see some more amenities at the hotel and more activities/events within the hotel itself. The rooftop bar was a highlight which seemed newly built, there were works going on whilst we were there so hopefully even more new stuff to come! Thanks El Tope for a wonderful vacation"
