It is nice to have a kitchenette and there was free water. We only received 1 towel each and had to ask for extra towels which was not a problem. I asked for an extra pillow and they did not have any, that is a first and very unfortunate since it made my sleeping less comfortable."

I hugely recommend this place, especially if you are staying more than a few days in Kyoto. Also well located, within walking distance of Gion and many shops across the river. "This hotel with its interior architecture and lighting design had a very post modern/futuristic, Ex Machina vibe. Which I loved! The staff were great. And I was very happy with my one bedroom unit. "Overall experience was excellent. The hotel is not far from the local subway lines, and it's right next to the Kyoto Imperial Palace. So, if you're looking to scratch that off your itinerary list then it's an easy action item. The service was exceptional. Everybody was helpful, and polite. The room itself was spacious, and had a certain grandeur that couldn't be offered by other hotels that must work with a smaller footprint. The amenities were great so take advantage of them. Comfortable stay at hotel MONday Kyoto Marutamachi

"Family of 4 with 2 teenagers stayed 3 nights. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Hotel is in a good spot so close to subway only 3 stops from central Kyoto, Family Mart maybe 50 metres walk. Very short walk to Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. Room was nice but a bit tight for 4 people, we managed but you would need two rooms if staying for longer than 3 nights. "
