Even though he had just finished a night shift he volunteered to help us get into the public car park (we had arrived in a terrible storm and parked in the wrong one). Unfortunately, getting into that car park was far from easy, yet Javier took the time and was so kind; we would really have been stuck without him. Thank you so much Javier!"

After being given the bread shortly after being seated, which was lovely, we waited over an hour to be be served what we ordered and the whole of the evening meal took at least another hour. "We stayed here when we had a rental car and wanted to explore the Basque area of Spain. We did day trips to Bilbao, San Sebastián and Pamplona. The Parador is in a beautiful setting and the room was very comfortable. We did all our eating and shopping during our day trips so the Parador was a quiet, country setting to relax. We did eat breakfast at the Parador but no other meals. Breakfast was good - very typical Spanish style hotel breakfast. "
