"the hotel itself was a gem....the charge of $25 per day to park was NOT so cool....I have to look at the original reservation to see if this was noted. these charges thru me off. :( & the fact it is now open to public for pool area was not appreciated...last time although 10 yrs ago pool was quiet and respectful this time too loud, noisy, kids all over...not sure we go again:("

"Best resort for families with kids near LA . Our family has been going here and Huntington Beach but this one it is by far on top . Water slides and and lazy river are amazing and not only for kids but my self I enjoyed very much . If you need to reconnect with your kids , this is the place . On the evenings they have movies by the biggest pool , pure magic I can say . We come here at least 4 times each year . Will see you soon again . "

"While I haven’t racked up an impressive passport of hotel stays, I have somehow developed a special talent for picking the wrong ones. I’m talking five-star disasters with leaky showers and “ocean views” that require a periscope. So believe me when I say: Sands Hotel completely broke my losing streak—in the best way possible. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had accidentally wandered into a parallel universe where hotel staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and somehow psychic. I kept waiting for someone to break character—but nope, every single person I encountered was warm, friendly, and sincerely helpful. It was like the Twilight Zone, but instead of eerie music and existential dread, it came with smiles and great customer service. I brought a friend for her birthday, and the entire experience felt special from the jump. The rooms were spotless, peaceful, and gave off serious “go ahead and exhale” energy. The property itself is beautifully maintained—stylish, serene, and somehow both luxurious and laid-back at the same time. It’s basically what my nervous system imagines when someone says “relax.” Long story short: I didn’t want to leave. (In fact, I briefly considered hiding in the closet and applying for a job at the front desk.) I’m incredibly grateful to the team at Sands for restoring my faith in hospitality. 10 out of 10?
