"Unbelievable spot of paradise just 10 minutes drive from Addo game park. This place is tranquil, beautiful and relaxing. From bird watching on the verandah, the spa, Freddie the pianist, Eduan and the rest of the team. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was divine."

"What can we say this place took our breathe away! Such a beautiful setting with the accommodation set right amongst the natural surroundings of how these animals should be seen. The staff again like at Tsala in Plettenberg were amazing and can’t do enough to help you during your stay and after too. The guides are extremely knowledgable and welcome all questions and make you feel very comfortable and at ease during the game drives. For anybody wanting a unique safari experience with game animals...

"It is a beautiful property, near the main roadso easy to find. The staff are all lovely, friendly etc. The main problem was a mix up with my partners breakfast, the order was not correct when he cleary stated what he wanted. Nothing major but annoying and shouldn't happen "

"Rooms nicely air conditioned and clean . Pool and grounds well kept. Found pool area lounges needing upgrade..very uncomfortable. Meals very mediocre... and dinner overpriced for what was served. Cleaning staff exceptionally friendly. Owners - we've had better! Some soft background music could be nice in lapa...to create some much needed ambience"

"Great management couldn’t be more helpful. The staff are outstanding and very helpful, provide great recommendations. Lovely stay in a beautiful place, watching the birds at the bottom of the garden in the morning was so mindful and relaxing. Added bonus was they do laundry for you and return it immaculate. Great stay felt very safe, breakfast was good too"

"My family and I had a very comfortable 3-night stay at Happy Lands and visited Addo Elephant Park each day. On arrival, we were welcomed by the lovely host family to a very peaceful setting. The cottage patio looks onto beautiful gardens with mature trees. My husband wasn’t able to join us on this holiday, and we’ve already decided that we’d love to visit again to show him the farm. "

"We had a lovely stay at Rosedale, which is a running citrus farm. Keith was very welcoming and gave us lots of suggestions on what to do around. Delicious breakfast with eggs from the farm, fresh juice and homemade bread. Very close to Addo Elephant National Park"

"We had a fantastic 3 days at Addo River-View Lodge. Our hostess, Leanne, was fabulous and very helpful and informative. The proximity of the location to Addo Elephant Park was ideal and we booked a guided full day tour there. We also enjoyed a sunset boat trip on the Sundays River and climbed the sand dunes. The local restaurant, Taste of Africa, was excellent and less than a 3 minute walk. Highly recommended."

"Die Lage des Cottage ist perfekt. Vom Bett aus konnten wir Elefanten und Kudu-Antilopen im Addo Park sehen. Aber auch direkt hinter dem Zaun des Grundstücks waren Warzenschweine und Antilopen unterwegs. Es war sauber, und alles da, was man benötigt. Die Feuerstelle lädt zum gemütlichen Zusammensitzen bei einem leckeren Wein ein. "

"The actual hotel is really very good and the rooms are outstanding. Nice grounds, nice pool and the food was also of a decent quality. Now on a road trip around South Africa, you get used to warnings about safety and taking care of belongings. Here we were welcomed with a lengthy delivery on all the steps the hotel was taking and what in turn we needed to do, which even by SA standards appeared a bit alarming, so made you think the surrounding area must be a huge 'worry'. Then we were presented...
