"We spent a one night stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and immediately wished it was for longer...The reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, indeed all staff were friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the Lake View resturant was open for dinner during our stay; the food was delightful, well presented and perfectly proportioned. The spa was lovely, especially, the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the gardens; which seemed a big hit with all of the guests...Overall we had a wonderful, restful stay and we fully intend to return in the very near future."

"Beautiful place to stay. Stall all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We were in an attic room , it was beautifully decorated and view was fabulous. Plenty of outside seating where you could consume your own drinks. Glasses and ice were provided. It a 15-20 minute walk into Keswick mainly downhill. Coming back the hill is a bit challenging but there are a few seats to break your journey and I certainly wouldn’t let it put you off. I’m nearly 70 and I managed the walk twice a day. "
