"Apartment style. Dirty and stained sheets. No sleeping pillows. Cobwebs and spiders in the bathroom and a colony of ants in the living room. Breakfast was a fixed menu of stale pastries and frozen/not fresh fruit, no buffet. Overall more of a 2-3 star experience than 5 star. "

"Wonderful 9 days! Staff were amazing, resort clean, beds very comfortable. Due to time of year not all services were available which was a bit of a disappointment but understandable. Would highly recommend this resort!"

"I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It was our first stay at a Pousada and it will definitely not be our last. We were given an upgrade to a suite on arrival which made our stay even better. The staff are all very friendly and efficient - first class level of service. "

"Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. "This was a beautiful hotel and we had a lovely experience staying here, from receptionist, to restaurant staff excellent. The breakfast really lovely and we had dinner on first night, lovely food. "Everything was great and the staff was awesome. The only negatives were the kitchen was too dark, the fireplace smoke odor was overpowering and strong, and the front door and car were always full of pidgeon poop. Trimming the trees should solve the pidgeon poop issue. We didn’t know the WiFi router had to be rented and there were none available for the first week. All the shortcomings were made up by the great staff."

Excellent food and staff a little gem of a hotel

"A little gem on the algarve situated in a quiet little village The hotel needs updating in the bedrooms which they are doing but the food was superb and delicious lots of choice to suit every taste bud 😋. The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble they were friendly and very efficient could not praise them enough Maria remembered our room number after a couple of times which was good considering the amount of people there. Ideal location to the beach and the hotel was kept very clean. Would recommend to friends and would return for a quiet and relaxed holiday "
