"This is unit in an older NOLA style building on the 2nd floor. Unit is somewhat dated. The layout is a little funky but overall the living space and porch are great for a big group. We had six adults and it worked perfectly. Short walk to bars, shops and restaurants. Nice neighborhood. Awesome communication from the manager. Overall, great place to stay. "

"Loved the location and being right on the beach with a great bar called The Shack with great food and very friendly bartenders. Magens Bay which is one of the best beaches in the world is 10 min away. The best restaurant on the island called Fish Bar is 5 min away and there's a grocery store even closer on the same road. This was everything I hoped it would be and more and we will be back. Make sure you rent a car and I wouldn't call it kid friendly. "

"The Pink Palm is great. The staff are welcoming -even better, the attentiveness does not stop at check in. Several more appropriately spaced text messages informed me of check in, emergency after desk hour contact information, and checking on us before check out. The plan of the property is impressive. "I liked the owner/manager. She was very helpful and told us of restaurants and things to do. View from deck amazing. Gated. Washer and dryer in unit. Privacy. Quiet. The only thing I didn’t like was parking was tricky."

"We spent three nights at Mafolie Resort. Due to wind damage, the bar and restaurant were not open all hours. The friendly staff, tried to create options for food and drink. The hotel is a little “rustic”, but we enjoyed everything about it. We never had an issue with parking. As described, the views are phenomenal. This is like a bed and breakfast/ boutique hotel combined. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and well stocked, and the bed was very comfortable. The view from our balcony was excellent, and the grounds were nice. The wait staff at the restaurant was very nice, but the food was just okay. It is a bit challenging to walk from here because sidewalks are spotty near it and the property is on a pretty steep hill. "

"Very cute no frills lodging. Wonderful staff. Not new but well maintained. Also very clean. I had heard there would be steps involved. Was not prepared for the 50 steps up to the office. This is not counting the fact that the bottom step is at the top of a two story driveway. "

"The pool was great. Very tropical set up. Fantastic views. Easily walkable to several restaurants. Big rooms. The downside for folks MAY be the many stairs as this sits on a hill...but thats how you get the beautiful view. We had no problem with stairs but just be aware. Wonderful coffee and tea was served in morning and the host was delightful. "

"5 star resort with 2 star service. Some of the wait staff were rude and combative, which is very disappointing considering the price you are paying for drinks and food. Beach and property were amazing. Still had a great time, but likely won't go back. "

"A fun, quirky place to stay. Perfect for our St John experience. It's not a fancy, modern hotel experience, so if you are looking for that go elsewhere. The rooms are clean and comfy, but unconventional. We really liked being able to use the library of books and maps and beach gear (chairs, coolers, towels, snorkel equip) for our play time, and love that they have "leftover lotion and bug spray" available for guest use. Why throw away a perfectly good, mostly full bottle of product when another...

"Property has Nice Views on the Beach. I had balcony room with beach view with Wonderful views, sunsets etc...Rooms was clean and spacious to my surprise. And the Eatery they have the food was good and drinks. Guys they have all the Sports channels in the room too! And Shaunice the Manager at front desk was Wonderful,she will take Great care of you on the property and as well assist on ventures off the property as well with great advice. I had a Great Bday week with Emerald Beach and will be back Soon.."

"If I can give any advisor please DONT read the bad reviews! They kept me up for 2 days after booking! For no reason! I cannot recommend this place more! My family & I had the most amazing time. The staff, the food, the grounds, transportation, rooms everything about this place was amazing! It’s a true relaxing getaway on island time and it’s just what the DR ordered! Thank you Westin for making our lil 5 day getaway perfect!!!!! You all rock!!!!!!!! Xo "
